Information We Collect and How We Use It

We collect information that you provide when you create an account (name, email, APD number), upload recipe documents for processing, and interact with the Services. We also automatically collect limited technical information such as browser type, device details, and general usage data.

Information we collect is used for:

• Providing the menu review and nutrition analysis Services
• Processing uploaded documents through our AI extraction pipeline
• Improving ingredient matching accuracy through confirmed synonym data
• Managing your account, subscription, and billing
• Complying with applicable legal obligations

Document Processing and Data Handling

Recipe documents you upload are processed through our AI extraction pipeline to extract structured ingredient data. Original uploaded files are deleted after processing — we store only the structured data (recipe names, ingredients, quantities) needed for nutrition analysis. No individual patient or resident data is collected or required.

Our AI extraction currently uses DeepSeek, which processes data on servers located in China. We are evaluating alternative AI providers and will update this policy as our infrastructure evolves. Ingredient and recipe data sent to the AI service does not contain personally identifiable information.

Sharing, Retention, and Security

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with third-party service providers only as necessary to operate the Services (hosting, authentication, payment processing, AI extraction). We retain account information for the duration of your subscription and structured project data until you delete it.

We take reasonable measures to protect information from unauthorized access. However, no method of internet transmission is completely secure.
